“Together We Grow.” That’s the theme of this year’s National Agriculture Day, which takes place on March 18th in celebration of the growers, ranchers, farmers, and other ag professionals who work hard to keep us fed.
Farmworkers account for less than 1.5% of the American population, which is a small number for such a massive job. Today, the average American farmer feeds 155 people. That’s six times more than the average farmer in 1960, who grew enough food to feed 26 people. Agriculture is becoming more efficient every year, thanks to new technologies and climate-smart practices that produce more food with less land, less water, and fewer emissions. It’s a collaborative effort, with everyone pitching in. Together we grow, indeed.
California’s agricultural sector will receive its own recognition on March 19, 2025, when California Agriculture Day takes place at the State Capitol. For more information on California Agriculture Day, click here.
At Fruit Growers Supply, we proudly celebrate our growers every day. After all, California produces more nuts, fruits, vegetables, and dairy than any other American state. All that growth requires teamwork, and we’ve been partnering with California’s ag professionals for more than a century. If you’re looking for new picking tools, fertilizers, a customized irrigation system, corrugated packaging, fruit wax coating, or top-tier pallets at competitive prices, we want to be on your team.
Give us a call today, and let’s keep growing together.
